NEIL SHAH

Raised in a family of entrepreneurs, Neil developed an early appreciation for the responsibility that comes with owning and building a business. That perspective shapes Shah Equity Group’s approach to investing: partner with exceptional founders, protect the legacy they have built, deploy capital with discipline, and create long-term value through thoughtful growth and operational improvement.

Prior to founding SEG, Neil held finance and corporate development leadership roles across healthcare, technology, energy, and telecommunication industries. Over the course of his career, he has advised on and evaluated strategic M&A transactions, capital investments, joint ventures, pricing strategies, and growth initiatives involving businesses with multibillion dollar enterprise values. This experience has given him a deep understanding of how to assess businesses, underwrite opportunities, allocate capital, and navigate complex strategic decisions with a focus on both risk and long term value creation.

At SEG, Neil applies this institutional experience as an owner and investor. He leads the firm’s investment strategy and underwriting process, from sourcing and evaluating opportunities through transaction execution and portfolio management. He works closely with business owners and management teams to identify opportunities for operational improvement, strategic growth, and disciplined capital deployment, with the goal of building stronger businesses and creating lasting enterprise value.

Neil resides in Dallas, Texas, with his wife, daughter, and dog. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring the outdoors.
